Sub navigation in sidebars…

I would like to be able to put the sub navigation in sidebars on all the interior pages, but it seems like there is just one widget that controls all of the pages sidebars.

Is there to add more sidebar widgets and put them on different pages?

This seems to be a pretty standard thing but I'm finding it difficult with this theme.
  • This looks like it would do the trick: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/widgets-on-pages/

    Let me know.

Hi, yes this allows me to add sidebars in the widgets area, but how do I then assign them to the sidebar of individual pages?
  • Add the shortcut [widgets_on_pages id=x] to the page or post in the place where you'd like your widgets to appear (where 'x' = the id of the sidebar to use (or the name if you have named it such as [widgets_on_pages id=TagCloud]). If using only the default sidebar then no 'id' argument is needed (i.e. [widgets_on_pages]).

Thank you again for your help, but while this enables me to put things on pages in the main body copy section, I am still having trouble finding a way to put them on each pages sidebars. See example here: http://www.lifetrekcoaching.com/school/training-programs/ at the end of the body copy I have added the widget that I want in the sidebar. This widget has a sub menu and scrolling testimonials. I get it to show up fine within the page. But have no idea how to get these to show up in the sidebar section (with each page having a different sidebar). For instance how can I tell the theme to use this widget in the sidebar of this page and another widget in the sidebar of another page. Sorry if there is any easy solution and I'm just missing it!

That worked perfectly, thank you. This really would be a good feature to have in any future theme updates though!
  • I will tell Mike :D
