404 Page not found

    Hi,

    I am absolutley stuck. I have created several portfolio items and a page. When I click on the page in the menu it takes me to the page I have created, however If i click on any of the portfolio items I just end up at a 404 page not found.

    Can't send you the URL because it is behind a coming soon page.

    Anything that I could be doing wrong.

    I can't really help without a link. Try:

    -Disable any plugins just for testing (Your coming soon plugin can remain as that shouldn't be causing the problem)
    -Try changing your permalinks back to default (Or custom permalinks if you are still using defaults). Only do this one time as it can cause a heavy load on your server.
    -Make sure you have cached the 404 error. Try another browser.

    It should be relatively easy to sort out. Let me know if none of those easy fixes work.

    Changing permalinks resolved the issue - Didnt think of that. Duh! Sorry to bother you.

    No worries, WordPress has some quirks every once in a while. I prefer the easy fixes :-)
