Home Page Cache Issues

    Hello:

I have tested with QuickCache, Supercache, W3Cache but in all these cache plugins, Page Cache is generating Cache for inner pages but not for the Home Page. That's little strange.

I also get in touch with Respective Cache plugin developer and they told me that as the theme is using Static Page in the Home page with /%postname%/ in Permalink so I have to ask the theme developer for this. I didnt really understand what that implies.

Could you please highlight me in the right direction?

    Thanks,
    Shivaji

    Cached Tada :-):

Confident this isn't theme related. We used to use SuperCache but now moved to W3Total Cache on most of our themes. I would pick a plugin like supercache or w3 and visit those support forums for help. Those plugins are the most supported.

Thanks for your reply. http://white-noise.progressionstudios.com is using http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/db-cache-reloaded/ plugin which is DB based and not file based. I did try SuperCache and W3Total Cache on a Fresh install but it didn't work either.

I also noticed http://white-noise.progressionstudios.com is using HomePage1 (Blog) rather then HomePage2 (Static Page). Is this the reason? Anyway, I tried all possible combination by switching in between blog/pages etc. nothing is working.

You can try installing any file based caching plugin and see result for home page of http://white-noise.progressionstudios.com. The caching comments with Timing will not be generated in footer.

I am trying hard to find this peculiar bug.

Here is an example using our test server (Cached and Working Perfect with W3):

I set the homepage to static and everything is cached fine. Feel free to post a link to your site and I'll check it out to see if I notice anything. Otherwise you will have to visit the support forums as I mentioned above. This isn't theme related*.
